Poor product all around - Written by / CAJun 30, 2014

I do not suggest the Bausch & Lomb Optima toric lenses. I purchased them twice within the space of six months. This is unacceptable. The first pair lasted only three months because the material is so thin it's like plastic cling wrap. When cleaning them one day in the third month of wear to my horror the left lens had a rip right down the middle. I did not do anything out of the ordinary to warrant the lens ripping like that. No other contact lens has ripped this badly. Also the comfort was terrible always had my eyes tired feeling due to the dryness I experienced no matter how many times I used rewetting drops. I purchased a second pair and experienced the same horrible dry, uncomfortable feeling that I have given up wearing them. Instead I have reverted to wearing my very old lenses that are over six years old. Although they are that old the vision is actually better than with the Optima lenses and the best things are that the material is so sturdy hence their lasting this long and they are so very comfortable that I cannot even tell I'm wearing lenses. These were the old Cibavision lenses which they do not make anymore I suppose because they can make cheap lenses that rip so people will need to buy more often. But I do not recommend the Bausch & Lomb Optima lenses at all unless one wants to waste money. They are not cheap but the material is.
