Eddie Bauer Eyewear
Signature Eyewear has added a collection of frames targeted to boys and girls between the ages of seven and 12 to its Eddie Bauer Eyewear line.
The new collection contains four metals and two plastics in variations on cat-eye, oval, pillow and rectangular shapes. Features consist of adjustable stainless-steel nosepad arms with silicone nosepads, European spring hinges, colorful, contrasting plastic temple tips and bubble-style logo plaques.
Colors range from sand and pecan tones to dusty violet and mulberry.
"By combining the Eddie Bauer lifestyle with the youthful spirit of the tween generation, we’ve created an eyewear collection designed for fun, fashion, quality and comfort that will appeal to kids who want to look great and parents who want style, quality and a brand they trust," says Robert Fried, Signature senior vice president marketing.
Eddie Bauer Eyewear collection features angular designs coupled with organic shapes, a concept that addresses the active facet of the casual lifestyle. All frames have the collection’s logo laser-engraved on their temples.
Signature Eyewear launches Eddie Bauer Performance Sunwear, a collection which utilizes Oakley's patented lens technology. The new collection contains four styles with two more planned for a later release.
Made of injection-molded Italian plastic, the frames are unisex in styling and designed to hug the face. Some styles have bowed temples and/or rubber inserts for reduced slippage.
The lenses use Oakley's patented XYZ Optics technology that corrects a lens on three axes, minimizing distortion and maximizing optical clarity at all angles. Lens tints include natural gray, black iridium, gold iridium, blue iridium and polarized green and are designed to tune transmission for sports-specific applications.
