Nine West Eyewear
Sāfilo USA expands its Nine West women?s ophthalmic collection launched in January 1999 with the introduction of Nine West Kids. Targeted to ?tweens and teens between the ages of 10 and 14, the new collection was designed for young women who want to be "just like mom" and consists of smaller versions of the more popular Nine West adult styles in similar color palettes.
The Valentino eyeglasses collection seduces adults as well, with its bold shapes and suprising colors. Models in metal, marked by large shapes and temples in acetate, are luxuriously feminine.
"As the Nine West brand grows, Sāfilo wants to grow with it and since Nine West is now designing clothing for children, we wanted to offer our customers great-looking eyewear to complement the fashions," says Dick Russo, Sāfilo senior vice president sales.
Included are one zyl and three metals. Colors range from blue, mint, rose marble, red, brown and silver in the metals to such double and triple laminates as tortoise and lime, havana and red and burgundy, orange and green in the zyl. Decorative features consist of round gemstones inserted in heart-shape casings and swirly wave-like temple designs. All of the metals are equipped with spring hinges.
