Tory Burch will have her own shop on Google's fashion site.
Renowned fashion celebrity Sarah Jessica Parker and fashion expert Tory Burch have joined ranks with Google to support Google's efforts to take over the fashion e-commerce industry. The name of the site hasn't been released yet, but word has it that www.boutiques.com will be Google's spearhead into the fashion world.
The site will not be a direct e-commerce business, but will act as a fashion portal and direct customers to existing fashion websites. Google has asked Tony Burch, Oscar de la Renta and Marchesa to establish virtual stores inside the site to generate some buzz for its grand opening. Google has also hired Sarah Jessica Parker to build her own store on the site and help launch the new business model.
