Nearly everyone on the planet has experienced the joy of popping open a Pez dispenser and munching on the sweet candy inside, but did you know that Pez was an anti-smoking tool? Eduard Hass III created Pez breath mints in 1927, using a few letters from the Austrian word for peppermint, "pfefferminz," for the name. The Pez dispenser was designed to look like a cigarette lighter, encouraging people to pop a mint rather than light up. It wasn't in the business plan but Pez dispensers became must-have collectibles for kids, so the brand started making fruit-flavored candies and dispensers using Popeye, Mickey Mouse, Looney Tunes and other licensed characters.
The PEZ collection of eyewear takes that same fun spirit and translates it into eyeglasses for kids. Our selection includes frame shapes in oval, rectangle, square and rounded edges and styles from classic to trendy. But the real fun here is picking from the wide variety of eye-popping colors and designs. With frames in hues of candy apple red, leopard print patterns and vibrant blue shades, your children are bound to find something to match their vibrant personalities.
