POLARIZED SUNGLASSES

The lenses in polarized sunglasses work to reduce reflected glare from surfaces such as water or snow. Reflected light from such surfaces is generally horizontally polarized. Polarized lenses block out this horizontally polarized light with vertical polarizers built into the lens material.
