Good sturdy glasses for biking - Written by DrewAug 27, 2017

I have been using the glasses for biking. The optics took some getting used to but work well at this point. The arms of the glasses frame interfere with typical helmet retention structures that grab the back of the user's head (this sentence is confusing; the idea is that wearing a helmet and the glasses together is not as comfortable as it could be because they are both trying to grip the same region of my head). Attaching the supplied strap while wearing a bike helmet seems too tricky. Need a mirror to do it. The glasses seem to confuse gnats which is a big plus. They do fog up in the woods. The big frames are good since I can grab those instead of touching the lenses. The Transitions works well. Overall so far I am really glad to have the glasses. My only other bike glasses were old beat up 1990s Bolle Edge II, so I am not too hard to impress.

Have had the WileyX XL-1 Advanced sunglasses for 4 months in Rx lenses. Very good lenses, Rx is perfect and provide good peripheral view. Curved shape provides good wind and debris protection from sides and removable gasket is handy when needed. Removable blackstrap is easily attached/detached and adjustable to give tight fit for protection or loose for hanging around neck. Recently returned from Virgin Islands. Compared glare reduction looking into sunset with 4 different pairs/tints of Maui Jims that friends had and all agreed that the WileyX glasses provided the best glare reduction over water. Highly recommend.
